European Film Festival/ Monteroni 'Rocco Quarta' Band

From the darkness of the theatres to the squares, the European Film Festival offers a rich OFF section, including concerts, recitals, book presentations and DJ sets. And on Sunday, the feast day, the tour band, the symbol of patronal festivals, the cultural heritage of the Salento, could not be missing. At 12 noon, the centre of Lecce will be transformed into a big cassharmonic: the Monteroni 'Rocco Quarta' band, led and conducted by maestro Marco Grasso, will set off from Piazza Sant'Oronzo, playing its repertoire, from the most classical symphonies to film music, to the sound of brass instruments echoing along the streets of the old town centre. The second 'tour' is scheduled at 5 p.m. from the gallery in Piazza Mazzini where the wind orchestra gathers and starts playing marching to the Multisala Massimo, where the screenings continue.
