Ensemble 600Novecento

The eighth edition of the Salento Organ Festival, created to highlight the rich heritage of historic organs in our region, is dedicated to the memory of Maestro Luigi Celeghin. And Lecce, too, has its prized organ with ancient vibrating pipes. In the church of Sant'Anna comes the Ensemble 600Novecento, with Pierluigi Mencattini on baroque violin and Stefania Mencattini on harpsichord, performing 'La sonata barocca'. Organised by the J. S. Bach Institute of Musical Culture of Tricase, under the artistic direction of Francesco Scarcella, the event offers a journey through organ literature in itinerant form, with young novice organists and renowned musicians.
