EArPieCe/ Songs of the sea

In "Songs of the Sea", Radiodervish's Nabil Bey (vocals, tar, guitars, live electronics) and multi-instrumentalist Fabrizio Piepoli (vocals, piano, guitars, saz, oud, live electronics), together with Alessandro Chiga (percussion), Morris Pellizzari (guitar), Claudia Di Palma (vocals) and Anna Rita Di Leo (vocals), explore the different musical realities of Apulia, the Arab-Middle East and the Balkans, skilfully mixing tradition, acoustic sounds and electronics. The concert is part of the EArPieCe (Encoding And Analysing Popular Music) project, in partnership between the Lecce and Campobasso Conservatories, the Lecce High-Tech Technological District, the Akademia Muzika of Tirana and the Montenegro Youth Orchestra. The aim of the research is popular music, its declinations in cross-border regions, contamination with cultured music and the collective enjoyment of the classical repertoire.
