Dischi parlanti/ ‘O Zulù e Caterina Bianco

The conflict between being and appearing, between saying and doing, told through thirty years of music. This is "Vio-Lenti", an evening scheduled at Officine Cantelmo, inaugurating the autumn session of Dischi Parlanti, organised in collaboration between Coolclub and Radio Aracne. The protagonist is Luca 'O Zulù Persico, historic leader and singer of the 99 Posse hip-hop group, accompanied by the eclectic violinist Caterina Bianco. The show of music and words is divided into three parts, just as three are the periods into which the singer has ideally divided his career, never really separated from personal issues: in the first part, there are the beginnings of the 99 Posse up to the success and the tragic days of the Genova 2001 protests, after which Persico left the band. The second decade is made up of journeys and tumultuous reflections, which lead O' Zulu to total intellectual honesty. The last ten years are instead marked by the birth of little Raul, through which the singer reconciles with himself and music. Preceding the show, an interview by Radio Aracne speakers.
