Conservatory Concerts/ West side story

From July to September, the green spaces of the Villa Comunale will host concerts and other events organised by the 'Tito Schipa' Conservatory of Music, in collaboration with the municipality and the Apulia Region. The first event in the series "I Concerti del Conservatorio-Summer Edition" is "West side story", the famous musical inspired by the Shakespearean tragedy "Romeo and Juliet". The soundtrack of one of Leonard Bernstein's masterpieces is presented with new arrangements for two pianos and percussion by Silvia Stella. On stage Mariagrazia Lioy (first piano), Elena Bellimbeni, Maristella Buccolieri, Ilaria Picci (second piano), Fulvio Panico, Francesco Abbruzzese, Simone Aprile, Giulio Carrozzini, Giulio D'Orazio, Pierdavide Guadalupi, Gabriele Leo, Francesco Persano, Francesco Giacinto Santoro (percussion). Claude Debussy's composition for four-hand piano 'Petite suite' is also on the bill.
