Concerts with aperitifs/ From Moscow to Paris

As part of its 54th concert season, the Camerata musicale salentina presents the first of five Sunday matinees 'Concerti con aperitivo'. On the stage of the Teatro Paisiello will be two leading exponents of chamber music, the Altamura cellist Nicola Fiorino and the Coratino pianist Filippo Balducci. The duo's technique, understanding and sensitivity accompany the audience on a sound journey 'From Moscow to Paris' on the notes of Russian composers Sergei Rachmaninov (Vocalize op. 34 No. 14 and two other lieder, 'It is so beautiful here' and 'I remember that day'), Sergei Prokofiev (Sonata in C major op. 119, dedicated to the great cellist Mstislav Rostropovich) and the Parisian musician Francis Poulenc (Sonata in E major, written for another cello virtuoso Pierre Fournier). The fascinating musical event concludes with a commentary on the performance and an exchange of views between audience and performers in a relaxed atmosphere over an aperitif.
