Concerts with aperitifs/ Doriana e Valerio De Giorgi 

The 2023 edition of the 'Concerti con aperitivo', five Sunday matinees offered by the Camerata musicale salentina as part of its 53rd concert season, comes to an end. The last appointment is with Doriana and Valerio De Giorgi, in a soprano and piano duo. The musical programme of the concert includes pieces by Chopin, Schumann, Liszt, Ravel, Mascagni and other great composers. The two artists recount the journey of the lied, the vocal song of the German-speaking musical tradition, both popular and art, characterised by its simple melody, short vocal range and ever-present melodic line. Through the Europe of the early 19th century, we arrive at the beginning of the 20th century, with its evolution in Polish (Chopin), French, German, Italian and Portuguese composers. An aperitif concludes the event, amidst smiles, comments and exchanges between audience and artists.
