When music becomes education for life and tells young people of its beauty, importance and therapeutic power. "ConcerTIAMO" is the musical review organised by the Polo 1 Comprehensive Institute of Copertino, directed by Angela Servarolo, and the International Arts Company association, under the artistic direction of maestro Salvatore Cordella. The first evening, presented by Rosangela Giurgola, is dedicated to a concert by Palermo pianist Davide Santacolomba. Deaf from birth, he plays the piano as a profession. As a child, he discovered the beauty of music and has never lost hope of playing, so much so that he has become a successful pianist, appreciated in Italy and abroad, and teaches music at a conservatory, the one in Messina. Despite the recent implantation of a cochlear device, a sort of bionic ear that allows him to improve communication and perceive almost all keyboard sounds, he still cannot hear the sound of the violin and transverse flute. The biggest difficulty is the perception of high-pitched sounds. To compose his music, Davide studies the notes in the lowest part of the piano and then reconstructs them in the high-pitched part. On the other hand, he listens well to the applause, punctual at the end of each of his performances.
