ClassicheFORME/ Hommage a Tchaikovsky

Second evening concert, in the beautiful cloister of the Rectorate, of the ClassicheFORME festival directed and founded by the pianist Beatrice Rana and promoted by the Opera Prima musical association. The evening opens with the Quartet No. 2 Op. 35 for violin, viola and two cellos by Arensky, who was a great admirer of the Russian composer. The second movement of this composition, in fact, is exactly a variation on a theme by Tchaikovsky. On this occasion there is the Trio Op. 50 for violin, cello and piano by the famous Russian, dedicated to the great friend pianist and conductor Nilolaj Rubinstein. It is a well-known work, full of compelling themes, perhaps the most awaited composition of the entire Festival. On stage, together with Beatrice Rana at the piano, Pablo Ferrandez, cello; Georgy Kovalev, viola; Liya Petrova, violin; Ludovica Rana, cello.
