Classica d'Estate... & wine/ Pianofortissimi tutti d'un fiato

In fine weather, the Camerata Musicale Salentina's open-air concerts are back, as part of the 'Classica d'Estate... & wine'. Immersed in the heart of the city, in the refreshing greenery of the Sala Giardino in Via Lino Suppressa (a side street of Via Petraglione), you can sip a glass of good wine while listening to the notes played by the best talents of the Italian music scene. The protagonists of the third concert on the calendar are Giacomo Piepoli on clarinet and Stefania Argentieri on piano in 'Pianofortissimi tutti d'un fiato', with music by Johannes Brahms, Edward Elgar, Nino Rota, Carlo Della Giacoma and Michele Mangani. The two Apulian musicians perform a special programme, which combines rarely performed pieces such as the blues from Mangani's 'An American in Paris', the fantasia on opera themes from 'Cavalleria Rusticana' op. 83 by Della Giacoma and Rota's Sonata in D major, with Brahms' better-known Sonata in F minor op. 120 No. 1.

The Piepoli-Argentieri duo was only formed in 2022, but has already gained great acclaim throughout Italy for the versatility of its repertoire and its continuous contact with the audience, from the first to the last note.
