Canto Pasolini/ Pino Ingrosso
One hundred years of Pasolini. One hundred years of loves and loneliness, of tears and seams, of scars and sutures. One hundred years since the birth not only of one of the 20th century's leading intellectuals, but also of a fine poet and songwriter. 'Canto Pasolini' is the theatrical and musical performance by Pino Ingrosso staged at the Paisiello Theatre for the municipal theatre season. The 'Salento-Neapolitan' composer and singer celebrates the poet in his eponymous record with 11 tracks, 11 poems by Pier Paolo Pasolini and an edited song written by Pasolini and Domenico Modugno. Also on stage with Ingrosso are Stefano Indino (accordion), Andrea Rossetti (piano), Raùl Scebba (drums), Umberto Malagnino (bass), Daniela Guercia (choirs, reciting voice, percussive colours), Luca Morciano and Francesco Perinelli (reciting voices). We are thus immersed in Pasolini's universe through music and acting that trigger a kaleidoscope of emotions and, says the musician himself, "an elaboration of feelings, of sensitivity, of my love for what was the wonderful emotional universe of this great poet". Ingrosso's compositions bestow gentleness and grace even on the crudest verses, redeeming any harshness, right down to those on death, which in Ingrosso's music become a serenade.
