Camerata musicale salentina/ Virtuositè

Francesco Manara from Turin, first violin soloist of the orchestra of the Teatro alla Scala in Milan, and Pietro Laera from Bari, an internationally renowned pianist and pupil of Aldo Ciccolini, play "Virtuositè", a concert with music by Franck, Bazzini, Elgar and Saint-Saëns, in a duo. After dozens of concerts throughout Europe, the two musicians perform a masterpiece of musical romanticism, the Sonata in A major by César Franck, on the bicentenary of his birth. This is followed by the great Italian opera tradition with the Fantasia on Giuseppe Verdi's Traviata, composed by Antonio Bazzini. Sir Edward William Elgar's 'Salut d'amor' precedes the grand finale, with the virtuosities of Camille Saint-Saëns' acrobatic Introduction and Rondo capriccioso.
In order to make it possible for children to attend the concert with their children, CMS is offering a music workshop for children aged 6 and up, held at the same time in the theatre's auditorium. The cost ranges from 8 to 10 euros per child, with the possibility of attending the performance.
Tickets: from €8 to €27 on sale at CMS, online and in the Vivaticket circuit sales outlets.
