CAMERATA MUSICALE SALENTINA/The Shirvani Sisters

Two sisters united by music. Leila Shirvani, cello, and Sara Shirvani, piano, are “The Shirvani Sisters”, talented artists of Anglo-Persian origins, born in Rome, guests of the 52nd Concert Season of the Camerata Musicale Salentina at the Apollo Theater. Both sensitive to environmentalist and animal rights causes, "armed" with their tools, they have often performed in favor of social causes, so much so that they have been referred to several times as "activist musicians". The creators of the “Eco Academy in the woods” project, they are currently working on the creation of an eco-sustainable center of musical excellence spread out in the green. The lineup ranges from Beethoven to Rachmaninov, from Schumann to Rossini and De Falla, and then Debussy, Granadoes, Paganini up to "The Shirvani Sisters", a popular Persian melody taken from the album Clorofilla.
