
Camerata musicale salentina/ Maria Serena Salvemini

The 53rd concert season of the Camerata musicale salentina kicks off: 13 appointments at the Apollo theatre with internationally renowned artists. The opening concert, in collaboration with Soroptimist of Lecce, features violinist Maria Serena Salvemini, enfant prodige of Italian classical music. At only 16 years old, the talented musician is already the winner of the national Alda Rossi da Rios Young Female Talent of Music competition, Golden medal with honours at the Vienna international music competition, first prize at the International Moscow music competition, and first prize at the Soroptimist international Italia competition. Molly Salvemini is accompanied by the prestigious Apulian Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Giovanni Pellegrini. On the programme are the Overture from Rossini's 'Cinderella', Mendelssohn's Concert for Violin and Orchestra in E minor op. 64 and Beethoven's Symphony No. 1 in C major op. 21.
You can also attend the Cms concerts with your children. In conjunction with the evening performances, the association organises music workshops for children aged 6 and over.
