CAMERATA MUSICALE SALENTINA/Giuseppe Gibboni

After 24 years, Giuseppe Gibboni was the first Italian to win the Paganini 2021 Award. Not only that. The very young violinist, just 21 years old, has beaten all the awards in the other categories (best performance of a Paganini concert, best interpretation of a Paganini Capriccio, audience award) even receiving the honor of playing with "The Cannone ”, the violin by Paganini himself, a Guarneri del Gesù from 1743. Gibboni arrives on the stage of the Apollo Theater on the occasion of the 52nd Concert Season of the Camerata Musicale Salentina, accompanied by the Pugliese Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by maestro Pietro Borgonovo. The violinist will perform Niccolò Paganini's Concerto for Violin and Orchestra No. 1; Overture from "L'Italiana in Algeri" by Rossini; Beethoven's Symphony No. 7 Op. 92.
