CAMERATA MUSICALE SALENTINA/Alti & Bassi

Some have called them "the heirs of the Cetra". Of course, the Alti & Bassi quintet uses their voice both to sing and to… play. Five voices and as many microphones for an a cappella repertoire capable of declining "serious music", or as they say, cultured, in whimsical arrangements and always on the edge of irony. Five different vocal timbres which, together, become harmonious in the most varied intonations and interpret a genre that has its roots in the singing tradition of the sixteenth century and which in other countries has then evolved into gospel, spiritual, swing. The Alti & Bassi, guests of the Apollo Theater for the 52nd Concert Season of the Camerata Musicale Salentina, are: Alberto Schirò, Paolo Bellodi, Andrea Thomas Gambetti, Diego Saltarella and Filippo Tuccimei.
