Baroque Festival/The Burney Dream

Last stop of the 25th edition of the itinerant Barocco Festival. The ancient music festival named after Leonardo Leo lands at the Paisiello Theatre under the direction of Cosimo Prontera and organised by the Leonardo Leo Study and Documentation Centre. On stage the musical-theatre opera 'Il sogno di Burney', by Raffaella Ambrosino with Patrizio Rispo and Stefano Sannino, directed by Riccardo Canessa, texts by Stafano Valazuolo and musical adaptations by Riccardo Iozzia Ambrosino. On stage, the Maria Malibran instrumental ensemble moves through the long journey that Charles Burney undertook in 1770 in Italy and Naples.
