The Lecce and Salento Symphony Orchestra transports the Teatini cloister to South America for an evening dedicated to the genius of the tango, Astor Piazzolla, with conductor Michele Cellaro, vocalist Sarita Schena and dynamic dancers Emiliano Pilloni and Pamela Marmol. Unforgettable composer and bandoneonist, Piazzolla built a genre that takes the heart and brings it into the world of modern tango having been able to mix tradition first with strong American jazz influences and then with electronics: thanks to these "openings" unforgettable pieces are born, with strong ancient roots but also powerful modern elements, such as "Libertango," which has become world famous.
