Theatres Cinema/ The Eight Mountains

Based on the novel of the same name by Paolo Cognetti (Strega Prize 2017), 'The Eight Mountains' directed by Van Groeningen and Charlotte Vandermeersch is the protagonist of the 'Teatini Cinema' evening in the cloister of the former convent. The story is that of the decade-long friendship of Pietro and Bruno (on screen respectively Luca Marinelli and Alessandro Borghi), two young men with diametrically opposed lives but who, every summer, meet along the paths and among the mountain peaks. The years pass and Pietro, now a man, returns to high altitudes to find himself and make peace with his past.

The "Teatini Cinema" festival is organised in collaboration with the City Council, Culture Department and Entertainment Department.
