Teatini Cinema/ My Paper Girls

Premiering for Teatini Cinema, a festival curated by DB d'Essai in collaboration with the City Council, "Le mie ragazze di carta," a 94-minute comedy starring Maya Sansa, Andrea Pennacchi, Neri Marcorè and Giuseppe Zeno in the cast, directed by Luca Lucini and arrived in theaters last July 13. The film recounts a crucial passage for Italian society in the 1970s. Primo, Anna and Tiberio are the Bottacin family, which is affected by the rapid expansion of cities. In order to move to Treviso, the Bottacin family decides to leave the countryside and consequently the peasant lifestyle. Along with the abrupt shift from rural to urban settings, Tiberius must absorb the turbulent transit from puberty to adolescence, experienced between first loves, first challenges and rugby matches. Their new life is inevitably intertwined with the socio-economic changes, traversed by our country.
