TEATINI CINEMA/ L'Arminuta

The fifth edition of the open-air festival 'Teatini Cinema' offers the public auteur films from the season just past. On Tuesday, 'Italian Cinema' is celebrated, with the best of the most recent film production made in Italy.

Under the stars of the historic centre, "L'Arminuta", a 2021 drama film directed by Giuseppe Bonito, starring Vanessa Scalera, is screened. Based on the bestselling novel of the same name by Donatella Di Pietrantonio, winner of the 2017 Campiello Prize, in 110 minutes the story unfolds of a thirteen-year-old girl who, in the summer of 1975, discovers that those she grew up with are not her real parents and is returned to her real family. Suddenly, the girl finds herself catapulted into a world completely foreign to her, losing everything from her previous life. From a comfortable home to the exclusive affection reserved for an only child.

Beginning at 9 p.m., with box office opening and entrance to the cloister from 8 p.m.
