Taking place against the backdrop of Italy in the 1920s and 1930s is the story of 'Benelli on Benelli', a film screened in the cloister of the Teatini for the 'Motoretro' festival organised by the Salento Motorcycle Historical Archive. The film, directed by Marta Miniucchi, is a focus on the life of multi-time Italian champion Tonino Benelli, a beloved and eclectic character, and his family. The context is the landscape of the Marche region, a still sharecropping reality where, through the impetus of the two-wheeler engine, Benelli sought national spiritual redemption.
