Motoretro/ 1 Map for 2

The film festival on historic motorcycling "Motoretro" kicks off with "1 Mappa per 2", a 2013 film by Roberto Montanari and Danilo Caracciolo. Four appointments, four screenings, dedicated to motorbikes and the great passion of those who ride them. The small review, curated by the Salento Historical Motorcycle Archive, begins in the saddle of two Ducati 175s that, ridden by Leopoldo Tartarini and Giorgio Monetti, completed the legendary world tour. And it is they who are the narrators of the never-before-attempted feat that, between 1957 and 1958, led the small motorbike manufacturer Ducati to become the great brand that is known and loved all over the world today.  After the Giro, Monetti joined Ducati and, thanks to that experience, started the development of the foreign sales network. Tartarini, on the other hand, left Ducati, for which he raced as a rider, and went on to found his own Mz, later Italjet, another successful historic Bolognese motorbike manufacturer.
