ALBANIA, SI GIRA/ Open Door

Last appointment with "Albania, si Gira", the Albanian film festival that, among the cloister of the Teatini, opens a reflection on the history of contemporary Albania. "Open Door" is the film on the programme, produced in 2019 and directed by Florenc Papas. The film is set in present-day Albania, a country that came out of transition with many contradictions. Among them is emigration, which has become a fixed institution for many families. The film tells a story of returns where the characters feel no attachment to the country they migrated to.
