ALBANIA, SI GIRA/ Neverland

Second screening for "Albania, si gira", a festival which aims to introduce Albanian cinema in Italy and use the films to open a reflection on the main events marking the history of contemporary Albania and its relations with the Italian culture. The cloister of the Teatini is the backdrop to "Neverland", a documentary film by Erald Dika that tells the story of 1997 in Albania, when the political and economic crisis caused by a gigantic financial scam generated a series of revolts that led to the collapse of the institutions and, in unclear circumstances, the population rushed into the ammunition depots and stole state weapons.
