Wiki Loves Puglia

It is one of the largest photo competitions in the world and every year more than 130,000 photographs are uploaded, released under a free licence, and become common heritage. It is the Wiki Loves Monuments, which enhances the visibility of cultural heritage with the aim of illustrating Wikipedia entries and invites people to play a leading role in documenting, enhancing and protecting the common heritage. And there is also Puglia with Wiki Loves Puglia, whose shots are on display in the spaces of the former Augustinian Convent. The photos represent the beauty and variety of our region's cultural heritage. For four years in a row, from 2020 to 2024, Puglia has achieved an excellent position in the national ranking, making it onto the podium. The competition has the patronage of the Apulia Region and is organised by Wikimedia Italia and Kaleidos with the contribution of ARET PugliaPromozione. At national level, Wiki Loves Monuments enjoys the patronage of the FIAF, the Italian Federation of Photographic Associations. The exhibition also enjoys the patronage of the municipality of Lecce and the province of Lecce.

The exhibition can be visited every day from 3.30 am to 8 pm.
