The Grotta dei Cervi at Porto Badisco is called the "Sistine Chapel of prehistory" thanks to its pictograms, that stayed for six thousand years. Today, the Grotta is inaccessible because of its fragile microclimate and morphological characteristics. Domingo Milella had to wait four years to obtain the permission to enter it. For several years until now, the photographer from Bari has been conducting a research around the world on the most important caves in the world, bringing his shots "to light" without depriving them of the charm of obscurity, of their aura of mystery. "The Theatre of Time" is the exhibition set up in the spaces of the former church of San Francesco della Scarpa, which brings together eight of them, and they seem to come from that distant time still intact, from that cavern on the Adriatic, where very few have had the privilege of entering.

The exhibition is a project presented by the Fondazione Mimì Andidero, financed by the Apulia Region in agreement with the Soprintendenza Archeologia Belle Arti e Paesaggio for the Provinces of Brindisi and Lecce, and promoted by the Prehistory Museum of Nardò.
