A OCCHI APERTI

All day
“A occhi aperti” is the installation by the brothers and photographers from Lecce, Flavio and Frank, the result of a workshop carried out together with Gabriele Surdo (whose moving images can be admired inside the museum) on the outside walls of the Castromediano Museum. The large faces of the boys from "Pietro Colonna" high school in Galatina surround the three sides of the building. They are not simple photographic portraits, those of the two brothers who use the lens as an art tool, but essences of personalities and, even more, real questions, queries of a multiethnic, vital and changing generation that asks for an account of what awaits them, invites them to stop, to imagine the future together. The large horizontal photos are accompanied by phrases, quotes and thoughts ranging from Battiato to Shakespeare, from Negramaro to Galileo Galilei.
