Cucuzze, laurieddhi, macare e...

The Cerrate Abbey opens the doors to the advent of the scariest night of the year. Three days of images, stories and popular traditions come together in an itinerary for young and old, organised by the Fondo per l’Ambiente Italiano (FAI). The LedA association curates a workshop dedicated to the "cucuzza" (Salentine word for “courgette”), all to be coloured and collected directly in the Cerrate garden; there also will be tales of peasant tradition told by a storyteller, with images flowing inside a small theatre. Lunchtime will be accompanied by a basket full of typical Salento products, with a pumpkin dessert.
Children under the age of five must be accompanied by a parent in order to take part in the workshop.
Tickets: from 6 to 14 euros.
