Wu Ming 2/ Ufo 78

More than twenty years after the irruption into the literary universe of the Wu Ming phenomenon, Giovanni Cattabriga, better known by the pseudonym Wu Ming 2, presents his latest book "Ufo 78", in the meeting organised by Terzo Millennio Laboratorio di Umana Solidarietà, Diritti a Sud, Red Vibes, Rete 25A, ReAzione. The novel deals with the hot topics in the twilight of the 1970s, from music and politics to repression and armed struggle, from countercultures and drugs to feminism and abortion struggles, from punk to the warnings of the reflux. In 1978, while Aldo Moro was kidnapped and murdered, three popes took turns in the Vatican, a state of emergency descended on the cities, drug use was rampant, the last great social reforms saw the light of day, more and more Italians were watching flying saucers. It is now a mass phenomenon, the 'big wave'. Two thousand sightings in the skies over the Belpaese, dozens of close encounters with alien travellers. Martians and spaceships are raging in pop culture.
