The masterpieces of the Castromediano Museum

From Apulia's first museum to a place that generates connections and networks, as well as a space for 'care' as a vaccine hub during the pandemic, for contemporary needs. And contemporary is also the research and study approach that saw Anna Lucia Tempesta and Salvatore Bianco retrace the history and stories of the archaeological finds in the Castromediano Museum in Lecce. An intense work, collected in the volume "I Capolavori del Museo Castromediano" published by Sfera, with historical images and photographs of recent campaigns, divided into three tomes, each dedicated to a historical period, from Prehistory to the Romans. The museum itself will host the presentation of the book, followed by the performance "Danzare il mito" with dancer Maristella Martella and her company Tarantarte. The authors will be joined by Salvatore Bianco, former director of the Museo Nazionale della Siritide, and Anna Lucia Tempesta, archaeologist curator of the Castromediano Museum, Luca Mercuri, regional director of the Museums of Apulia, Raffaele Casciaro, director of the UniSalento Cultural Heritage Department, Adele Maresca Campagna, president of Icom Italia, and Alfonsina Russo, director of the Colosseum Archaeological Park.
