The long road to European integration/ Ventotene 80

The Ventotene Manifesto turns 80 years old. To celebrate the birth of the idea of a united Europe, the Maison Monnet of the European Parliament, in collaboration with the European Observatory on Memories in Barcelona and the Altiero Spinelli Institute, has published the book "Ventotene 80", which in six essays analyses the role of the Ventotene Manifesto in the construction of European federalism. The book is presented with two of the authors, Michele Fiorillo (Scuola Normale Superiore) and Debora Righetti (Maison Jean Monnet), in the conference room of the Rector's Office of the University of Salento. This will be followed by a panel discussion on 'Conversation on the future of the European Union'. Participants include politicians, academics, institutions and civil society.
