"I dedicate this book to the men who know how to love women, who value and respect them," is Laura Boldrini's dedication in her book "This is not normal" (Chairelettere) in which the Italian politician and former UN official clearly illustrates, without room for misunderstanding, the real and current situation of women. "Despite some achievements on paper, laws, recognized rights and the commitment of feminist activists and associations," she writes, "all too often wives, companions, friends, colleagues continue to remain gregarious, subordinate, irrelevant. And this is not normal. The woman who subverts the pattern is invisible, considered an 'odd' person and somewhat exalted." The author, at the invitation of Idrusa bookstore, is a guest of the "Agostiniani Libri" review organized by the Department of Culture. Mary Tota and Angelo Salento will dialogue with her.
