Pippo Pollina

Pippo Pollina

A dense narrative that overlooks the junctures of contemporary news and history. Ten years before and after the symbolic fall of the Berlin Wall, but above all before the peak of “mafia neo-capitalism”. "L'altro" (Squilibri, 2023), Pippo Pollina's latest work, takes us between the pages of the story of Leonardo Corigliano, a doctor from Camporeale in Sicily, and Frank Fischer, an investigative journalist in Germany. We find narratives of malfeasance, nostalgia, pro-Nazism, mafia massacres, money laundering and immigration. Topics on which the singer-songwriter and founder of the historic Sicilian group Agricantus has never spared himself, neither in music nor in writing in general. Guest of the Convitto Palmieri space, the author presents his work in dialogue with Marcella Rizzo and Mauro Marino, with readings by Piero Rapanà.

Free admission. Info: 333/5859921.
