OgniBene - The creative library of the Augustinians

Colors, games, snacks and lots of books. OgniBene, the creative library of the Augustinians destined for the little ones but not only, opens its doors. The new spaces, which take their name from the church of the Santa Maria Ogni Bene complex and the adjacent garden, will become the meeting place between different generations with shows, snacks with artists, cooking classes with grandparents and much more. Equipped as a social space for reading, study, creativity, play, entertainment, research, digital experimentation, it will also be a place of activities for the creation of a multicultural orchestra of children, time bank, loan center and donation of games for the most vulnerable and of workshops, paths and initiatives created in collaboration with the network of associations created for Lecce Città del Libro. Much more than a library, therefore, a new space where play and creativity gravitate around books for the well-being of adults and children.

The program of the day in detail:

10 am - WELCOME TO OGNIBENE

with the greetings of the mayor Carlo Salvemini and the president of the Regional Council Loredana Capone.

From 11 to 12.30 - Discovering OgniBene

Guided tour in stages to get to know the new library. A cheerful caravan escorted by waders and soap bubbles will cross the internal rooms and the garden, stopping from time to time to listen to stories, watch a small show, build a time box ...

Bike Bubbles

Soap bubbles and stilts with Giorgia Basilico and Dario Cadei (Cirknos). Bike Bubbles is a show of lights, soap bubbles and a bicycle. Dancing bubbles, steaming bubbles and playing bubbles, bubbles to play and to work, bubbles to dream and to dance.

From 15 to 16 - Here I am! (age: 0-4 years)

The first visit to the library is never forgotten and beautiful memories need to be immortalized, so here is an instant photography workshop to take home the memory of an afternoon among books and with friends. (on reservation)

From 4.15pm to 5.45pm - Ri-Codiamo with CoderDojo Lecce (age: 5-6 / 7-10 / 11-14)

Can technology be used in a non-passive way? Of course yes. The CoderDojo is a club created precisely to teach "how to do" and to understand, through play and exchange, that technology exists to adapt to our needs and never the other way around. (on reservation)

6 pm - Postcards!, Musical tales for guitar and kamishibai

By Cecilia Maffei and Tobia Lamare, in collaboration with Orecchio Acerbo edizioni. From a wooden theater, from a small curtain, the colors and sounds of many paper stories, each time different, are released. An experience that, through illustrations, music and narration, opens up to the public a new dimension of the beautiful books featured in the story. (on reservation)
