Nicola Tanzini/ I Wanna Be An Influencer

"The Tower of Pisa or apartment blocks in Hong Kong have the same purpose: they are the photographic set of that moment. Whether they are monuments, world heritage sites or degraded places, what emerges is a certain disinterest with respect to the historical-cultural or landscape characteristics of the place in which the influencers decide to place themselves, the important thing for them is to take the shot in that context'. The Pisa-born Nicola Tanzini, digital communication entrepreneur and humanist photographer, explores the new behaviour in tourism, which social networks have helped to change, in his second photographic book "I Wanna Be An Influencer", published by Skira editore and presented at Liberrima. It is an editorial project and at the same time a sociological research, collecting images taken in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Rome, Pisa, the Venice Lagoon and Tokyo, all iconic and "Instagrammable" locations, i.e. perfect places for influencers in search of the perfect shot. The aim is to photograph the transformations in the behaviour of new tourists, from the choice of traditional destinations to the creation of new ones.
