In Trash We Trust stories for a worse world/ Ennio Ciotta

Hairy metalheads, punks in mid-life crisis, punk-beasts renouncing personal hygiene, elaborate mopeds, car thefts, cosmic smugglers, neighbourhood stories. There is all this and more in Ennio Ciotta's latest book, 'In Trash We Trust. Racconti per un mondo peggiore' (Ergot ed.), presented at Officine Ergot. Journalist, writer, dj, countercultural agitator, Ciotta puts together various writings accumulated over time to "survive the nothingness that advances", to look back a little and perhaps understand how to go on dodging the absurdities of the present.
Stories seen, experienced and recounted from a latitude in which "our 'metropolis' encroaches on the countryside with its dry stone walls and dormitory suburbs on either side of the ring road", in a historical and social moment in which "from content to social media counters has been a moment's notice and the people you used to meet, with whom you shared the joys and sorrows of the sirocco that doesn't dry the floors, you find yourself characters in search of an author convinced that you are really interested in the nothing they have to say".
The book presentation is followed by musical selections by Ennio C. &Skacco.
