ExtraConvitto/ The Fates of Enchantment

In his latest collection of verse 'Le sorti dell'incanto' (Gattogrigio), Luca Crastolla digs into the word, breaks up the syntax, and is characterised by a precision of the word that is increasingly determined in the direction of a break in speech and grammar. The more exact the word, the more jagged the syntax. Crastolla writes of his South, of the ruins in the Lucanian and Apulian countryside, of votive chapels and desolate districts, with a vocation not for narrative and captioning, but for denunciation, thus assimilating the lesson of great poets from his country such as Vittorio Bodini, Vittorio Pagano and Antonio Verri. The book is presented, together with poets Giuseppe Semeraro and Dario Goffredo, as part of the ExtraConvitto review.
