"I am writing to you from a prison in Greece". The prison was the one from which Alekos Panagulis, intellectual and activist for democracy and human rights, revolutionary fighting against the dictatorship of the colonels in Greece, approached imprisonment and torture with poetry, often writing with makeshift means and on any surface. 40 years after its first publication, the publishing house Edizioni Mama Dunia returns the collection “Alekos. Poesie di Alekos Panagulis ”edited by Antonio Fanelli. The volume is presented in the cloister of the Bernardini library together with Pompeo Maritati, Maurizio Nocera and the musical interventions of Rocco De Santis and Mattia Manco.
