CTK Book Club/ Andrea Donaera

Salento writer Andrea Donaera is the protagonist of the third appointment with the CTK Book Club, an initiative to promote reading, born out of the collaboration between the Koreja Theatre, the Officine Culturali Ergot and the Vele Racconto association. The formula is the tried and tested one: one month to read the proposed book and participate, in the following meeting, in a critical in-depth examination in the presence of the author. With Andrea Donaera we talk about his third novel, 'La notte delle ricostruzioni', Tetra Edizioni. During a claustrophobic night in a too-small flat, amidst abuses and obsessions, the protagonist picks up the shreds of his own existence, as a result of a piece of news that brings him back to his country of origin, a place of trauma and loss. A depressed mother, a lost father, faded friendships and an unspoken love dig up drop by drop until they reach and muddy the bottom of a soul, which seems too black to be real.
The next book to be read is chosen together with the participants, who can buy it directly from the book shop set up in the theatre foyer.
