Christmas in the Library OgniBene/ White Night in the Library

For the first Christmas of the Biblioteca civica OgniBene there is the second White Night in the library. After the great success of the first one, with sold-out places immediately after publication on the website, it was decided for an encore, to satisfy as many requests as possible. Evidently it is the dream of girls and boys, aged between 7 and 12, to sleep all together among the library shelves, immersed in the thousands of stories told by books. And before going to bed, we engage in a lot of fun activities, such as playing the literary tombola and attending a performance of kamishibai, the 'paper theatre'. This is a form of Japanese storytelling that originated in the 12th century in Buddhist temples, where monks used text and images, drawn, painted or printed on scrolls (the so-called emakimono), to tell stories steeped in moral teachings. At the end, one falls asleep tired and happy, listening to bedtime stories. Finally in the morning, before going home, everyone has breakfast together, parents included.
