Augustinian Books/ On this side and beyond the border

Augustinian Books/ On this side and beyond the border

Beginning with the presentation of the collection of essays "On This Side and Beyond Borders. Looks at the roots of contemporary migrations" (Ombre corte), edited by writer and former professor of Human Rights and History of International Law at the University of Bologna Gustavo Gozzi, there will be a discussion about the initiatives of the Diversa/mente Association in the field of clinical and educational. The goal is to understand, through multiple disciplines (psychoanalysis, anthropology, law, history, social sciences) the complexity of migration phenomena and possible forms of inclusion in a plural society. There is a need to delve into the complexity of migratory phenomena through a critical rethinking of the mainstream narrative, for at least two good reasons: the possibility of a non-"fallacious" diagnosis of the psychic distress of those who migrate, and our relationship with otherness, especially the role we attribute to the theories and concepts of other cultures (conceptions of social ties, identity, parental roles, the body, illness and its treatment).
Free admission.
