An encyclopaedic work of 432 pages, full of lived stories, iconic characters and accompanied by no less than 250 photographs, a natural continuation of the previous volume, 'Storie e figuri del Salento'. As in a black and white film, images of Salento figures from the past flow by, interspersed with legends, fables, anecdotes and at the same time anchored to the events and context of history. A powerful identity tool for the Salento generations of the third millennium, useful for reinforcing, through the memory of their roots, the sense of belonging to a land that is as difficult as it is resistant, to a strong and dignified people, who historically have always had little and that little they have always shared.
