A partisan love / Concetto Vecchio

They escape death, in a romantic and fictional way but, when the war is over, things do not go as they had dreamed. "Un amore partigiano" (ed. Feltrinelli) is the novel by Concepts Vecchio, written together with Iole Mancini, which opens the review "Agostiniani Libri" within the summer program of the Lecceinscena municipality. “I met Iole Mancini on April 25, 2021”, writes Vecchio in the prologue, “during a report for the newspaper that I didn't want to do. A one hundred and two year old woman with the elegance of a model. She is probably the last witness of one of the most terrifying pages of the German occupation in Rome ". From here the story of Iole and her husband Ernesto Borghesi, partisans in the Gaps, united by love and the struggle for freedom, unfolds through the pages.
The meeting will be moderated by Gabriele De Giorgi, readings by Giulia Maria Falzea.
